About the author...
Patricia was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She obtained a B.A. in History from Saint Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. After college she lived in Florence, Italy for a year where she pursued a degree in museum studies and art restoration from the Universitá Internazionale del'Arte. She later returned to Puerto Rico where she obtained her law degree. In furtherance of her passion and interest in intellectual property, she went on to obtain an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Wife and mother of three. She has succesfully litigated before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, Antilles Cement Corp. v. Anibal Avecedo Vilá, 408 F.3d (1st Cir. 2005) and the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, Samuel Beniquez Méndez v. Teófilo Vargas Sein, 2012 TSPR 2. She is the Director of Copyrights at the Ana G. Méndez University System, and actively participates in speaking engagements on the subject of intellectual property. Patricia is fluent in english, spanish and italian.
